As Director of Talent Acquisition, I get to work with smart, talented people that are passionate about what they do and are truly dedicated to making LPR, “The Best Place to Build”. In my 2 years overseeing recruiting/hiring for the entire company, both craft and staff, I have learned that “team work makes the dream work”. A successful project requires everyone working together with one common goal. Since I’ve worked with LPR we have staffed some of the largest projects in LPR’s history. It took a lot of hard work but we were able to build talented teams with help from our field operations and a great recruiting team.
Being with LPR for almost 20 years, I have learned something new each day. Starting out as IT Manager and working my way up to Director of IT and Equipment, I have a comprehensive understanding of how a construction company operates. In addition, I can leverage my IT background to improve and enhance the Equipment side of the business. Working remotely across the country has always been a challenge. Using technology, we have been able to push our “borders” and work nationally and even internationally. Our systems that we have implemented are solid and give us a competitive advantage.
I love surrounding myself with genuine people and making their work experience a more positive one. Serving as HR Director allows me the opportunity to work with so many great people across the country and help make this the Best Place to Build. Those people have kept me here for 25 years and facing industry challenges together is what will hopefully keep me here for another 25. Ok, 15 minimum!
After completing my MS degree in HR Management then stepping into the corporate world with United Airlines and Seagate Technologies while making my way to the construction industry, I am proud to be where I am today with LPR Construction. Since day one when I started with LPR in 2010, I’ve been amazed by some of the most talented and hardworking craft workers in the industry and a team of support staff and managers that believe and live our core values. As the Chief People Officer and Executive Team Member, leading the People Services department which includes Safety, Training, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition has been an honor. I’ve worked in the construction industry for most of my career and spent the last 8 years with LPR helping build their HR department and improve their safety and training departments. I believe that the key to any successful construction company is its people and services that support them.
